I have looked at lots of club websites and I am wondering what Toastmasters think should be on their home page...

What is on yours?

Where is it?

And Why?

On my club's home page:

The main page heading is "Join Us Today" because that is what we want them to do. It is the Call to Action.

Then we have 3 things that always load in the visible part of the screen so you don't have to scroll to find it because we don't believe that a web site visitor wants to scroll:

1. The time and day of the club meeting
2. The meeting location with a one click link to Google Maps directions page.
3. A personal invitation... "We would love to meet you, so please stop by."

We designed the page to answer the most frequently asked questions visitors have. It is specifically designed for prospective members because we figure that members will be more willing to click through.

Here is a brief video on the above from a TLI presentation in January 2013.

Rob,
Thanks for the great tips.
I am new VpEd in my club located at Orange County - California, I saw some time ago a wonderful PDF file serving as a welcome package and roadmap for new members in your club. I praise your effort and guidance on this.

As I am a Junior member myself ( VpEd gives me chance to learn teaching). It will make my life easier using your great material with new members. .Is it possible to have the script or source doc. for that document?
