Saving Agenda as PDF 12 years 7 months ago #2107

We plan on going paperless in our club, so I am saving the Agendas as a PDF (click Print, right-click, Save As).

From there, I can project it at the meetings.

After the meeting, I can update the agenda for what really happenned (switched roles, etc.) save it again as a PDF and make Excel mine the document to create my history for the members.

And yes, as soon as I have the Excel Macro written, I will share.

Until we get agenda history with dates, this will work for me.

Roger, I don't have a Save as option to save as a PDF file, I only have two versions of web pages.

I have been using PDF Creator ($) and CutePDF (free) to create PDFs for years. (They are installed as Print drivers, so you print and select the PDF Confverter as the printer.)

When I click on the "Print" icon in FTH 2, it displays the file to be printed in one window, then opens a second window for the print function. In the print window, I choose the PDF print driver as the printer which saves the file as PDF after asking me where I want to save the file.

Bill,

That works the same way as a right click, I still need to pick a location. This is just the way I have always done it, not that it is the only way. I am a keyboard person, not a point and click guy.

I guess I contradicted myself, I had to right-click to do a Save As.

I would just keep doing what works for you.

I didn't notice the PDF option in this Save as... before. Thanks for the tip.

Roger,

I'm interested in the excel macro you mention - let me know when you have it ready for prime time!

Saving all the agendas seems unweidly to me, so I will probably end up deleting them in order to have a cleaner user interface for our members.

Plus the 2.0 role history isn't detailed enough to be useful. Just having dates and the ability to edit would have been enough - both of which were availbale in 1.0. Sigh.
