We're looking for an easy way to put guests and prospects on our meeting agendas. Is there a way we can let them log in and sign up?

We're a newly-chartered club. Before, we put everyone on the "Member" list so they could log in and sign up. Now we only have paid members on the "Member" list and the others are on the "Prospect" list. Some of the prospects want to take roles at future meetings, especially the people planning to transfer from another club. So far, I have assigned the role to myself and edited the description to include the prospect's name. It appears that only Members can log in and sign up for the agenda.

Has someone found a better way to handle this?

Looking forward to learning from the more experienced users

Other clubs appear to do essentially what you're doing. The main difference is that they create a dummy user they call "{Guest}" which they use for the purpose.

The "{}" characters ensure that the name goes at the bottom of the list, which wouldn't be the case if you just use "Guest" as the name. However, if that doesn't bother you, then leave the "{}" characters out.

Thank you!

I like the {Guest} idea. It's clearer than putting my name in.

I also think we're going to set up a policy where we only do this for a few meetings, then urge them to join. After all, the paid members should get first option.
