Hello Hollydays;

1. Separate the first paragraph, Such as: Make Welcome to Toast of Severna Park maybe a font 14 Bold and Italicize center up top; space

where you meet

A little about your club

2. Try adding some color to the outside of page....

3. Make a separate page for the stuff at the bottom and maybe only use black lettering on front page, except maybe the Welcome message. Just watch the colors. Try to not go to bright.

4. On calendar, you put postponed until March 17 but then have it listed on March 16

5. Some of the other pages look good, however, put the agenda that you have for members only up at the top along with newsletters written

6. Your back to the top link does not work... I believe you have the code incorrect

That is good for now... I don't want to overwhelm you.

Great start and it is looking good!

Linda

Adding to Linda's comments, definitely break up that top paragraph, to put the meeting info in its own paragraph.
The most likely reason a visitor is on your website is to find out where and when you meet, and if it is OK to visit - so make it very, very easy for then to spot that information.

For me, that very large, brightly colored graphic in the middle was too much - especially since all three events are now in the past. For future events, I'd suggest separate graphics, with a bit of white space in between. That approach would also have the benefit of making it very easy to remove the events as they pass, or if you're fond of the graphic, adding a comment about what happened at the event.

Not about website content, but related: be sure you always use the correct website URL when you post notices about your club in online locations. For example, your entery in the Severna Park Voice publication is easy to find with Google, but has a bad address;
www.severnapark.toastmastersclubs.org

That is NOT a working address - remove the "www." :-)

Hi Holly!

I like more about your site than I would suggest improvements! You have a lot of activity on your calendar... yay!! I also like your photo gallery. Several good public downloads, and I liked you custom "club info" page.

Awards are great, but you have no photos of anyone actually delivering a SPEECH. This is important to show visitors what you actually do.
I agree with Linda, your background and menu boards need some color. There's too much white and yellow.

Social media - Your facebook looks really good! But, again, I'm a fan of "ACTION" photos. You have a couple of fun videos. Might those make a good addition to your website? I believe you are just getting started with Twitter, which is fine, but when you get the chance, you will want to add a header.

You're up and running, but I think some color and action oriented photos will create some warmth for any visitors. :)
