How can I save a new agenda template? was created by NinaChace
It is speech contest time and I am creating new agendas for my meetings. Yet, I cannot figure out how to save a new agenda template to my list of saved templates without kicking off a previously saved agenda
Please provide instructions for saving new agenda templates. There used to be the choice of an "Unnamed Agenda", but it doesn't seem to be an option now. Thanks, Nina Chace, DTM

Here is the documentation for creating a new agenda template:

You have to be signed in as the club admin or have been granted access to the Meeting Agenda Settings.
Alternatively if you are the VPE (or admin) you can create a new agenda support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/creating-a-new-agenda and then save that agenda as a template after it has been created

Hi Pam, Thanks for your reply. I finally figured out my problem for myself. I would like to suggest that your instructions could be more clearly stated. First, one needs to name a blank agenda that you want to create. Then you need to create it, either from scratch or by editing another agenda. Then after it is created, you can save it to the name you previously created. If you don't name an empty agenda first, your only choice is to write over a previously saved agenda - losing it forever. Thank you for the comment, Nina. I have rewriting the agenda docs on my own agenda
and I'll incorporate your suggestions.

I may be having an on-topic issue so I'll post in this thread. I want to create an agenda template from an existing agenda but the "add as new" functionality does not seem to be implemented. I know there's a way to create a new agenda from an existing one, but I'd like to make a new template.
Logged in as admin. Clicked on meeting agendas. Following the user doc steps at support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/a...t-settings#templates , I have the desired agenda from January on screen. Selected the Edit (pencil) tool then the Agenda Setup tab. Next step per docs is to "Click on the Save as Template button." I'll interject here that it took a bit to find that button. It's on the Agenda Setup tab, which is not the default tab displayed. I would suggest making the user docs more explicit. Anyhow, when I select the "Save this agenda as an Agenda Template" button, the dialogue box which appears says, "Select the Agenda Template you would like to replace or 'Add New Agenda Template'." There is no "Add New Agenda Template" entry in the list box nor a button so labeled. See attached screen shot.
Question is thus, how do I save a selected agenda as a new template, not erasing one of the ones I spent hours creating?

I see what you mean about the "Add new Agenda Template" entry not showing, that is a bit confusing.
All you have to do is type in the name of the new template in the lower box: "Name this Agenda Template (or leave blank to replace with same name)", and your selected agenda will be made into a template with that name. If you leave that box blank, the template in the drop down box will be changed to be the same as the currently selected agenda.
