I have been having trouble accessing any freetoasthost sites, even this one, using my home internet for a few days. I have reset my router to no avail. I think my IP address changes each time I do that. At the moment it is 121.122.192.60. It is fine when I have wi fi off on my tablet as it is now, but I can't access the site from my PC at all, using chrome or internet explorer, or safari on my tablet with wi fi on. I don't have any problems with other websites. I have cleared cookies. Is there any reason I would be blocked from FTH?

You are not blocked, but maybe your ISP DNS is blocked.

If possible if you could find the IP of your ISP DNS.

From You PC open a command prompt and type nslookup toastmastersclubs.org
and paster the results in this thread

or

Contact your ISP and ask them what the IP of their DNS is.

I had access for a short time this morning, but I am having the same problem again. Is the information I provided sufficient?

Pam we have not changed anything. There has to be something going on with your ISP

Anything changed with firewall sotware?

You mention router... If you can, try taking router out of equation and direct connect computer to modem to see if router is a problem. Any other sites with issues? Google works???

I got into my club site a little while ago and managed to print the agenda using chrome on my PC. I can use the admin console and access membership management. I couldn't access the web pages to edit them when I started this response, but now I can. I still can't access this site ( support) from the link on the web page on my PC, and I can't get to the club or support site on safari on my ipad. The only way I can get here is with wifi on the ipad. No changes to firewalls, and all other sites I have tried are accessible ( google, internet banking, etc).
This has been happening for a few days.

Just retested and went to this site directly on a fresh page on the PC. That worked and now the link from the club page seems to be working too.

I'll just hope the gremlins are moving out, and try to do what I need to while I can. It is weird!

No - I can't access 123456.toastmastersclubs.org on chrome (PC) or safari (ipad).

But I am happily editing away, and I am replying to this from my PC - so things are certainly looking up at the moment.

I can't access any of our neighbouring clubs either.

I have Teamviewer up if you want to see what is happening.

It is getting worse. I had my ISP check things yesterday and they couldn't find anything wrong with my settings, although they could see what was happening while they were on my computer by remote access.

We have a meeting tonight, and I have just had a call from our VPE who can't access the site either. He uses a different ISP. At least one other member can't access it either. I'm not sure what ISP she uses.

I have done a full virus scan and found nothing.

Yesterday I managed to access our site for a short while. While I had the ISP technician on I also managed to access another site in our area, but not any of the others that use FTH. I have links to the other clubs in our area and was using those to try to access the sites.

Today I can' get on at all, except as now with wifi off

I've tried google chrome ( latest version), and IE8 on my windows PC, Safari on my iPad. Our VPE uses Firefox and Safari

I've tried the club number, club name, links from google, link to this site (support ). Nothing is working now.

Not sure what you want to print to file and send? If I can use it off the site that is okay.

I didn't know if I could print the agenda for tonight's menu for you and save as a Word doc and send.

Also, at the bottom of every screen is a link to reload the site. I keep forgetting about it, but next time try that as well.

I still can't access the site with safari. I tried the reload link there and that lost the cached copy too.
I can now access FTH via the link on the webpage in google chrome. So things are improving again, but it seems to be a case of hit and miss

The fact you can access sometimes and not others makes me think there is a problem somewhere between you and our server.

see if your isp can do a traceroute from your subnet to our server. ( I know this is tech speak but your ISP should know what I am asking for.)

I asked a technician at my ISP to do a traceroute but he "hasn't been trained to do that". I have sent an email request to the technician who helped me two days ago - I am hoping he might be able to help further.

Pushing the refresh button up to about 10 times usually gets me onto our club site or this one (I have just had to do that to get here).

I have also found that when I am connected by VPN to the server at my office, I don't have any problem.

I'll let you know if I make any progress.
