Issue: looking for the directions on How to replace an existing document with a revised document of the same name and have it hook into the link on our website. Can find nothing under File management nor linking files. Any pointers would be most appreciated.

You have to delete the existing one and then upload the new version.

Steve, Thanks for the info. I have attached a png that shows how the site looks now in the area I am working. As you can see there is a file called "Toastmaster Guide" that hyper links to "BeingtheToastmasterforFraminghamNatickClub.pdf". If I go into Admin mode and launch the admin console and go to File Management and delete the existing file, how do I then set it up as seen in this png once again?
Thanks for your help.

Hi Steve,
Ok I look in the file management section and see nothing that I recognize as relevant to my question or issue.
Would discussing this off-line be better? I get the file upload part but how do I set up and use a hyper link to pull it?

Ok so once I copy the URL what do I do with it? I try putting that on the new file I want to turn into a hyper link but that just adds it to the name already there. So that doesn't seem like the correct path to follow. I have the file uploaded to our site and it's name is different than the existing one so no file name conflict issues.

If you are trying to create a file with a hyperlink in it, then we cannot help you with that... you need to consult the docs for whatever program you are using to create that file. (MS Word? Adobe PDF? etc.)

If you are trying to put the hyperlink to an uploaded file in your home page, meeting info page, or custom web page, then you only need to use the link toolbar icon for the appropriate editor. It will insert the link in a webpage. docs.cksource.com/CKEditor_3.x/Users_Guide/Rich_Text/Links

In any case, for any of the stuff that can be done with the website, it is in the docs. We are happy to assist for things that are not covered in the docs (or are complex), but we also expect that users will review our docs... We have put a lot of time and effort into them, and we want them to be both useful and used.

Hmmm, interesting tone.
As I indicated in post #55150 I am trying to add/replace a file and then create a hyperlink to it as shown in the png file that I had attached.
I have looked at your documentation and only came to this forum as a last resort, and while it may be very clear to you on how to do what I want to do it is not at all clear to me. As you can see in the png file the entry with the hyperlink is called "Toastmaster Guide" and it is linked to a file called "Beingthe toast......pdf..." This setup is what I am trying to duplicate with another file that I have uploaded. If you can assist me that would be really great, if not let me know, I am okay with that as well. All the Best.

The png file is garbled/hard to read and it is not clear where you are trying to put a hyperlink...

Taking a wild guess that you want to put a link in the menu (?)
