Hello

This is a follow up to this  this thread

If I make a custom web page (e.g. cool_page.html) and set it to be available to members only, I want to be able to share a direct link to people.
If the user is currently logged in, the link will take them to that cool_page.html.
However if the user is NOT logged in, the link will redirect them to the home page.

My suggestion is this:
If the user is not logged in, it should show the login screen.  After they log in, it should go to the intended page (e.g. cool_page.html)

Comments:
- The suggested behavior already happens for Agenda pages.  I would like this behavior extended to custom pages as well.
- This feature would help people create members exclusive content (e.g. blog) and share it easily.

Hi just checking to see if the FTH team has had a chance to look over this feature request.  Is this something that’s been approved and planned to implement or has it been declined?

Won't happen. If a page is set as members, the member has to log in.

Have them create an unlisted public page, best they can hope for.

Have them create an unlisted public page, best they can hope for.

I use this strategy on my club site. A club member asked for the ability to reach our (members only) Zoom meeting info page from the agenda. Realizing this means they would have to be logged in; I made an unlisted identical copy of the page and put that link in the agenda header so the page can be reached from the agenda email.

Creating an identical page is quick and easy using the web page tools: save contents to file/load contents from file.

Thank you for your suggestion I was able to do something similar. The way I did it is I create a public page that redirects to an empty agenda page filled with members only content, that way they will have to login in order to see it.
