We have a member in our club that is unable to login to our site. I have gone through the process with him and he is doing everything correctly, but it doesn't work. Out of 25 members, he is the only one this has happened to. He is able to login to the Toastmasters International site, but that doesn't help him. And yes, he has been corrrectly added to the admin / members area with his correct email.

I seems like having an administrative over-ride to assign a password to someone would alleviate this problem, but meanwhile, this individual can't access the agendas or other member-only items.

I would appreciate any advice.

We need to know what browser and version he is using to access the site.

his first name would also be useful.

If you remove his email address and let the system generate one, then perform the lost password routine the email will be sent to the site admin and the site admin can set the password. Then put his email back.

What version of firefox?

I guess he is using Internet Explorer, but he doesn't know the version.
When I try your suggestion, I eventually get the password link with this message:
There was an error with your login -- the session id attached to your e-mail (uGtj7tz1gDTBdqBV00oCXFyet) was not valid. Please check to make sure the full link was sent when clicked.
As a result, the "set password" button never gets highlighted.
I've tried this a couple of times.

I got it to work after much trial and error.
I logged in as the admin.
I set his email to one of mine.
I then authenticated his account from a different browser. (You can't do this from the same browser).
I then changed his email back to his. :)

If he is using Internet Explorer it must be version 8 or higher.

He needs to set his cookies as per this doc.
