Hi,

I have just joined Club 4122, Twin Lakes Toastmasters, and have assumed the role of FTH Admin. Our Club's FTH website address is 4122.toastmastersclubs.org. The problem is that the original ADMIN is no longer with the Club and none of the current members knows the Admin username or password. Therefore, I cannot add myself as a member since I am not a member in FTH. When attempting to add myself as an Admin I get the following error message as soon as I enter our Club number in the change request form:

malformed JSON string, neither tag, array, object, number, string or atom, at character offset 2 (before "<!DOCTYPE html>\r\n<...") at /usr/local/share/perl5/JSON.pm line 171.

For help, please send mail to the webmaster (root@localhost), giving this error message and the time and date of the error.

Can you provide me the info I need to add myself as the Admin to the Club. Thanks.

Larry Haug, DTMx4

1) click the reload link at the bottom of the site to clear the error

2) follow the instructions in this doc, Changing site administrators when the previous one is no longer available

Ok, it looks like Toastmasters Intl has a bug in their updated Find a Club... we depend on that working correctly.

It affects the new club request form more than the admin change form, so you may be able to get the change form to work for you now.

Brian: This bug is subtle... you will see it if you try to find a club by a specific club number in the Find a Club form. (can't do it)

Thanks. That did it. I received an e-mail with a password to enter the site as Admin. I have another question for you:

Our Club meets in two different cities at different times. Is there a way in FTH to have two different Agenda formats so that when a member logs in they only have access to the Agendas for the location where they meet?

Larry

That is not possible.

Sounds like an opportunity to form a second club.

We are working on it. We need to get 20 members in the annex site. Currently only have 11. Thanks for your help.
