We have recently changed site administrators and the previous password no longer works or has been changed before they left.

As the new site admin, I have attempted to reset the password through "forget your password" link and the one-time key it emails me. However, it prompts with "You have errors in your form below" after entering the new password and clicking Save. Scrolling down, I do not see any apparent errors in the Administrator window, and attempting to use the new password does not work.

I have also attempted some of the other suggestions found in similar discussions, such as enabling cookies, closing all tabs in browser, clearing the cache, and reloading the site from the server. These have also been unsuccessful. I have tried using Google Chrome and Internet Explorer.

Any help or tips would be appreciated.

Hi Steve, thanks for the link. I have updated the contact information for our club on Toastmasters International.

After following the rest of the instructions, I am still unable to update the FreeToastHost site admin password for our club. After receiving the login key to get temporary access, it will not let me save the new password that I try to enter in the admin console. There is an error message that pops-up at the top (see attached) and it will not save the new password then immediately logs me out as admin. Any thoughts?

That is a symptom of a cookies issue. The system must be able to save a cookie on your computer to maintain login status.

Please do the following:
1. Click the Reload link at the very bottom of your website screen. (scroll down)
2. Reference the following doc, support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/cookie-settings , to make sure we can save cookies on your computer.

I have reloaded the site from the link at the very bottom and added our site to the list of allowed sites for cookies and pop-ups on my computer through Chrome and disabled ad-blocker, but I still receive the same error message as the one previously attached. Are there any additional steps we can take?

I use Chrome all the time w/ no issues. There is something that is not set correctly for your Chrome config.

I had no issues w/ your website.

Just for the sake of discussion, can you try a different browser to see if that works for you? If so, then it is your Chrome config.

For the sake of completeness, I tried on Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, and Firefox, but still encountered the same error when attempting to save the new password through the Administrator portal.

I even attempted to have our club President update the administrator password by forwarding him the login key url, but he also ran into similar issues. Thoughts appreciated and thanks again for your time and help.

Do *not* use the url for logging in... :pinch: It will become outdated (by design).

You *must* use the login dialog for logging in each time.

- Yes, he would attempt to sign in as Admin and click "forget your password," but it would email me the one-time login key since I am currently the club site admin. Trying any option available at this point and I agree not best practice.

Attached are the screenshots just before and after I click save within the Administrator Portal on the Admin Info tab to update the password. I have made sure to use both letter and numbers with no special characters in all attempts.

If you are the site admin submit a change request and stop forwarding the admin emails.

I have already submitted to make myself the site admin since the previous one is no longer with the club (see initial post).

Is there another way to submit a password change for the club site administrator other than clicking on the "forget your password" link when logging in as site admin?

There appears to be multiple related issues on this similar topic and adjusting internet settings is not resolving the problem.

1) You are listed as the site admin.

Hi Brian and Steve,

My name is Dave and I am the president for Clayton Toastmasters.

Thank you all so much for your efforts. Unfortunately, we are still struggling. Prior to creating the post, Thomas and I scoured the forum for possible solutions, including the issue with browser cookies. From what I have read, Thomas has been very clear that none of the proposed solutions work, even including attachments. If you read the thread, you will notice we are going in circles.

Please provide us a solution to gain access to the site.

The site works correctly.
There is something about Thomas PC that is not normal. We do not offer PC support.

He has been sent the link to create an admin password and just needs to follow the directions.
If you are using a work PC please try from home.
