I'm a club coach for 7009. They are not actively using freetoasthost and I'd like to set that up for them. The current admins have been unresponsive on resetting a password or changing admin through the site.www.toastmastersclubs.org/change/

Am I, as a coach, allowed to be an admin?
Is there another way to make this happen without their involvement?

The club is responsible for the website and has to authorize any changes. They need to follow these directions
Changing site administrators when the previous one is no longer available

I have been a club coach in this type of scenario.

In my experience, you need to first focus on "selling" the club on the benefits of using FreeToastHost. Go beyond the typical marketing aspects of FTH and talk about how it simplifies club operations w/ the agenda and dues features. You could do a Powerpoint for this, which would count as a speech and impress them also.

Once they are sold on the benefits, then you can discuss with them how to best set it up. Be careful about doing too much for them. Ultimately, they have to "own" the website and be willing to maintain it. If you do too much for them, you may undermine that. My recommendation is to partner with someone from the club if you can and work on it together.

You need to have them on board with the website before proceeding. Most clubs that are in this situation think the website will be too complicated, require too much work, and will not have many benefits. You need to listen carefully for these types of objections and have talking points in mind to overcome them.
