Hi. I entered new club officers and members into the site with email addresses and names. Only one member is not able to access; when he gets to the site, he receives an error message. His names is James Brown; email address is This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. His name does not pop up. He also tried entering the email address and simply selecting "Authenticate" to receive the email to set up a password. Nothing is working. Thanks for your help.

Error Message:
You have errors in your form below. Please scroll down and correct the following:
You must select your name from the displayed drop down list for the login to be accepted. Start typing your name or e-mail, then select your name from the list. If your name does not appear, then the admin has not entered your contact information into this website yet.

Name didn't show up in the drop down.

Thanks!
James C. Brown, PMP, M.B.A.

Per your Membership Management, this person has not yet opted into the website. They should have gotten the opt-in email and clicked the ACCEPT link in it. Until they do this, they will not be able to access any member functionality in the website.

If they cannot find the opt-in email, you can resent it from the drop down in Membership Management.

Thanks for the tip. I did attempt this. Please see the attached pic. It shows the error that occurs because it says I already sent an email.

I also sent the member the info page about overcoming challenges with certain emails. However, even if he makes the necessary changes, how do I overcome the issue I am experiencing with this error message?

Thanks, again for your help.

No, you do not need to add them again via Quick Add. Click the Members tab (look in your screen shot), click on the member in question who is struck out in the list in that tab, then use the drop down to re-send them the opt-in email.

Refer to the following user doc:
support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/m...nel#membership-tools

Look for Re-send Opt-in Email(s) in the pull down menu. (those exact words)
