Hello,
I am having an issue with Toas-host and the coding from Paypay. Paypal states there is nothing wrong with the code (as written). The previous code had worked and suddenly stopped. This is our main source for Dues Payments and the bi-annual membership drive is supposed to start.I have tested the code on the James Marshall Test Bed and it worked perfectly.
The code seems to be changing after I save. You can see below, as I have posted the differences. Please assist. Our Club site is:
2679.toastmastersclubs.org/
We use Google Chrome as a browser.

Regards,
Charlie

Code from Paypal-REMOVED

It looks like you're trying to hand code the PayPal dropdown. There is a very specific way to add PayPal to your custom page. I suggest looking through the documentation at support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/p...mail-friendly-button. The exact process for creating a PayPal button may have changed (PayPal changes this from time to time) but the concept is the same.

I copied and pasted directly from Paypal. I'm not hand coding anything. The coding changes upon saving. I used the Paypal assistant/code creator.

Code from Paypal-
<form target="paypal" action="www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr" method="post">

This is the wrong code from Paypal. See instructions in the document Marc shared for getting the email code from Paypal;

support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/p...mail-friendly-button

The input box in dues management also has a reminder for using the email code;

This IS the code from Paypal. I pasted it in and saved. I even changed to use primary email and changed buttons from cart to buy now (new code). I get the same result.

You cannot change the code

Yup have to make all the changes at PayPal and then regenerate the code to post.

You need to take this up with PayPal.

Also you need to remove your code from this post.

I did take this up with Paypal the told me to contact the site administrators.
I did not change the code, it changes all by it self when I save it.
The code was working previously and suddenly it stopped working. Could it be something with the ToastHost update a few days ago?

Did you post it onto the page using the "source" button?

I've been using PayPal buttons for years. Here are two screenshots from my dues page. The first is the final page. The second is the beginning of the pasted code. The code should begin with <form action

I found that the form line was in another spot from some reason with a different host ID. I didn't put it there but I removed it and now it works!
Thank you for all your help

Ok, so given that you are using code starting with "<form...", should we be updating the guidance in the Dues module that says not to do that???  (e.g. see screen excerpt in Richard's post above)

No, in the dues module you use the email insert code for the PayPal button but on a custom page you need to use the <form code while in the source view.

Ok, good point.  Thanks for reminding me of the difference.
