I would like to set up new Calendar events on our club website. I was browsing the FAQ pages provided by your office and found the below advise:

"You can add an event simply by clicking on the day you want to add the event."

But, why do we not see the ability to click on a day we want to add the event. Is that option possible only for some sites? Here is our site address: cstm.toastmastersclubs.org

Chinmaya Somnath Toastmasters Club; club no: 3608509

Is it also possible to select club or member preference to automatically receive a reminder for important club events.

Just click on day and the box will show up where you input the event.

Other than that, read this for more information... Toastmasters Support

You have to be logged in to your club site as a member to be able to ad a "Member Added Event" or as Admin to add an "Administrator Added Event". If you aren't logged in to the site you are not able to add a calendar event.

I am able to add events, both member as well as admin, it was a user error. Slightly off topic: So, how do we efficiently share announcements we receive for volunteer assistance at non-club, but important events, e.g., Area Contest Judges Needed. Does the site Calendar not provide an option to send a reminder to members 1 day (or similar) prior to the day of the event. I am able to use Sign Up Genius freeware tool to do things like this, but would that be possible to do such information sharing/help solicitation using the club website itself.

Automated time oriented reminders/notifications were a problem in FTH 1.0 (too many emails), so they were explicitly not added to FTH 2.x

That does not mean they could not be added in the future, but we would need to ensure that people were not getting hammered with notification emails that they do not want. Spam is a real concern.
