Another way to get ideas for your club website is to look at what other clubs have done. Look at both the appearance as well as the content others post, to get inspiration for changes you can make.

You can get the website URLs for other clubs using find-a-club, but for more than a couple of clubs, it's a bit slow. Here's a tool you can use to quickly visit several club websites, my club website checker:

www.marshalls.org/tmtools/#urlcheck

Enter your district (or any district!) and click. It will show all clubs in the district, along with the type of website and a clickable link to each website.

Did you open that Website? I notice the last name is yours. It is a fantastic Website! I used to track one of our members who got the most awards last June or July. She belongs to many clubs. I will add it to the Websites that I manage.

Yes, I developed the site. The very first tool I made was the awards report. I keep adding more tools as I think of them.

George, If I was young again, I would have studied to be able to do what you do, Thank you for that Website, it is so helpful, I saw it for the first time last year and I never dreamed I would be writing to the man that started it! Aida.

Hi George - I am not real techie, especially when it comes to html codes and the like. I copied the url code for the "tools to summarize TM reports" and pasted it on our Butterfly Tamers/9501 website as a link to another page, but I believe this isn't correct. The title shows on the home page under "members only" and you can click on it; however, it takes you to another page within our website and not to the site to see the TM reports (which is great by the way). Can you please tell me what I did wrong?

Also, on the home page under the "members only" section, there is a link to add a mentee, which I'm not sure how it got there, but I'd like to remove it because I don't want members to be able to assign mentees to members, plus no one can read it because the text is in white I guess. I've checked every section and don't see where to edit this, or delete it from the section.

Yes - in Custom Web Pages, select that page again.
Now, very near the top, click on the More link. It reveals instructions to make that menu item be a link instead of a page.
Notice that part that says to leave all fields blank after Web page title.
I think that will convert the menu entry into a link.
