UPDATED FEATURE - File Manager File Access options added

I have updated the file manager to add an Officers Only and Hidden access options for files uploaded there. These options affect the files that are shown in the download areas of the websites. The Officers Only files are only seen in the Members Downloaded area if the person who is logged in as a member is also an officer. The Hidden option allows files to taken out of circulation as needed. (However, please help us manage available space on the server by deleting those if you never intend to un-hide them again.)

Everyone, please let me know if you run into any issues with this update. I have tested this update, but as always, I do occasionally make mistakes.

For the hidden files, what if the only person that could see them had to login as admin?

Well, since this is new stuff, some further tweaking may be warranted.

Also, there is a consideration that I have not yet addressed with this that has to do with linking existing files to use as Agenda Attachments. Specifically, I am not currently filtering anything out for that, but I am inclined to think I should filter out Officer Only files and Hidden files for that Linking function. Right now, you cannot set an uploaded agenda attachment as Officer Only or Hidden, so I am inclined to think that the Linking should be consistent with that. I don't think that Officer Only or Hidden files should be permitted to be agenda attachments.

I have also updated the code for the Agenda Attachments feature so that it will only allow attaching files of the Public and Members Only varieties. Additionally, if you change a file in the file manager that is also an attachment in an agenda to Officers Only or Hidden, it will no longer be shown as an attachment.

This is just filtering functionality... nothing is getting deleted and nothing is missing from the server.

Don't know if this affected other folks, but my new secretary reported he couldn't find template files I'd uploaded many moons ago. Turns out that during your implementation of the new four-pronged access status some of our existing files, which were set to Member status, became hidden. Glad I read your Admin notes, otherwise I'd not yet know of the new feature. Maybe others should be advised that some files took on the Hidden attribute?
