Migrating to FTH4

Your club admin received the instructions to update their admin password to access FTH4. (FTH3 admin passwords will NOT work in FTH4). Follow the instructions in the email and use 'Member sign in' in the top right corner to access the Club Admin account.

If you are not sure who the club admin is, in your member account; look at 'Club Officers and Members' > "Club Email addresses". The LAST item in this list is the person who is currently listed as your club admin.

If this is not correct, please complete and submit this form to change your club admin:

Thanks. These are my take-aways:

1. It is good to purge really old members. Holding on to extra data only slows things down.
2. It looks like deleting the person and adding them again will produce an Opt-In email.
3. Regarding latency, I am using a chromebook and a current browser with a high-speed connection. Appreciate the "modern browser for crying out loud" comment....but I work in IT as well. Got that covered with a Static IP. Not blaming you, just asking for help in troubleshooting. Same Team, brother.

Same Team, brother.

Don't be presumptuous. We are all volunteers here working with very limited resources and tools. My paying job is as a chemical engineer and project manager, and I just maintain FTH as a spare-time intellectual pursuit and hobby... (No actual IT experience -- self taught on coding) Obviously, I have a stake in the system's success, or I would spend my time on other things.

While we certainly want users to get value from the system, everyone needs to keep in mind the limitations that we are working within to maintain the system. Things like users helping us find bugs and crowd-sourcing information gathering efforts to support the system are not just good ideas, they are essential given our constraints.

I sympathize with any issues you may have with a specific browser and hardware. We may be able to offer some suggestions in some cases just based on past experiences, but it is quite unrealistic to expect us to be able to figure out a problem with each and every browser / hardware scenario.

While we will sometimes advise users to be patient and persistent with us, there are areas (hardware and oddball browser configs) where that will not bear any fruit. The only hardware and browsers we have to test things with are the ones we are using.
