Agenda not updating to reflect prepared speech data additions

Hello,
I used this forum's search feature but could not find anything, so forgive me if I'm asking an already answered question.

The agenda template I recently developed has 3 slots for prepared speakers and the default time value set for 7 minutes. Here's the issue: if while still logged in as admin I go, not in template mode but rather agenda edit mode, and plug a member in to one of those slots and set the speech time to, say, 20 minutes, the agenda does not update subsequent time values to reflect the change. I also tested this functionality by logging out as admin and logging in as a member and volunteering to fill the role. Since the system presents, and thus presumably "knows," the time values for all available project manual speeches, why is not the selected time value used to update the agenda time column values?
I have attached a screen shot which should prove helpful.

You have to edit the role times to make it 20 minutes long, choosing the speech does not automatically change the roles span time.

It is not as simple as you may think. Speeches in Manuals can change over time. The times are proposed for speeches, but actual times allocated may fall anywhere within the prescribed range for any one speech.

Also, the timeline for the agenda is frequently set before the particular speech is known for speakers. In the case of Advanced Speeches, the speaking time may be longer than the typical 5-7 minute speech (some are greater than 10 minutes). Therefore, if we just forced the allotted time for a speech to correspond to its prescribed time when the Speaker selects the speech, in many cases we would end up throwing off the timeline and causing the meeting to end late.

Because of those things, we do not force the time to be set for any particular speech when a member selects their speech. Currently, the VPE must adjust the timeline before printing the agenda to account for longer speeches.

The real solution is to designate an agenda item that time can be "borrowed" from to keep the end time consistent. Typically, this would be something like Table Topics or a break in the meeting. If we had that feature, then we could just set the speech times to match the max prescribed time for a speech project, and the system would make the adjustments to the timeline to keep the meeting end time consistent.

Slightly different topic but it's agendas and prepared speech data-related so I'll post here. It may have been a long time since the dropdown list presenting all manuals/projects has been updated. I know that T.I. has in the past few years updated some of the advanced speech manuals. I found what I believe is an error with a particular manual project. Before I nit pick, might I suggest that you folks go through the latest manual set on an annual-or-so basis and make sure the FTH list is up to date? It might allow you to kill some of the entries where it's Manual_Name followed by Manual_Name (Rev. M/YYYY).

I have many of the manuals and would offer my assistance in compiling the data for you if you like.

Here is the data. Note that maintaining the overall formatting of the data is *essential* for the code to be able to interpret it correctly. The <option>'s are needed to separate the project titles and the quotes are necessary, also. Other than that, feel free to update the info.

I finished the FTH prepared speech table updates for the agenda pulldown box stuff and want to get it back to you.

Three files attached per private message from Steve:
1) FTH Speech Data mods.rtf: RTF file which contains the original data, corrections, and my explanatory text in an easy-to-read format.
2) FTH Speech Data mods.txt: The RTF file saved as plain text.
3) FTH Speech Data Table.txt: Notepad++ file with everything but the corrected data stripped out. This should be able to be dropped right in as replacement code if you agree with my changes after reviewing the RTF document, which explains it all.
