Hi Glen, I am Mikael from 6623298 Brampton Talks......yea, I would be very interested if you have a description of what you did or if you could supply a short write up.
We are distributing Club Communication each week and to be able to have that in Blog form on the webpage would be welcome. I am fairly familiar already with WordPress since that is where I host my personal blog...why that is probably where I would host the club blog too

1) If you want to link to a blog, FTH allows you to do that or include as an iframe.
2) FTH will never support php on the server.
3) your club always has the option to pay for hosting and hire a webmaster to maintain the software.
Thank you,

Hi, Mikael !!!

There are plenty of free web hosting services that run WordPress, and would allow you to operate a blog, at no cost to your club. If your FTH2 site links to the separate site, and it links back to the FTH2 site, visitors need not even realize that they're passing between two different sites. My club does this, though not presently for a blog. (We specifically had to disable the blog option; the blog is there by default. We'll probably switch it back on, someday.) If you check ours out (click on the Mobile Site link to go to a WordPress page) you'll see that the Weaver Xtreme theme can even be twiddled to look somewhat like the FTH2 layout. (Okay, don't look too closely...)

A few caveats:
- The free services tend to have annoying limitations, to badger you into paying for a not-so-annoying environment. Match offerings to your needs and choose your service very carefully.
- Not many services will allow you to run HTTPS for free, and a FTH2 link to a non HTTPS-site can have consequences.
- Facebook won't link to some of the free services, so decide ahead of time if you need such links before you spend too much time on the alternate site. Trust me; having this happen is not as much fun as it sounds...

If you set up a blog site in this way, let us know so we can have a look-see...

Wes B.
