You could not renew the old domain name? Bummer.
In any case, you are going to need to go through the process like if you are setting it up the first time, unfortunately. We can guide you along, but you need to pay attention to details when it comes to setting up your new custom domain. Details matter.
1. The basic process is outlined here:
support.toastmastersclubs.org/component/...r-various-registrars
You will need to set up 4 DNS records via your registrar, 3 for website access, and 1 for email handling. These DNS records tell the registrar how to direct internet and email traffic to the FreeToastHost server when someone uses your custom domain name. If you don't set those up or do it incorrectly, you may have issues accessing your website or using email with your new custom domain name. You can do a quick check on your DNS records here:
www.viewdns.info/dnsrecord/
You can use this to compare what you have vs what you need regarding the DNS records.
2. I recommend setting up a website alias in the admin console as a stopgap measure. Maybe minytm , perhaps? This gives you another alternative way to access your website while you are getting the custom domain issues worked out. You can actually use both a website alias and custom domain name, but most clubs don't since the system will forget your login status when you switch from using one to the other. For more details on website aliases, see here:
support.toastmastersclubs.org/component/...whats-the-difference
3. You need to consider every place you have referenced your old domain name... Think of email addresses that have been circulated with it and also any link to your website, like on TM Find a Club.
