According to our club photographer, we're having the same problem on our FTH website. He went to upload photos tonight and couldn't find the upload button. I gave him the instruction to refresh the page from the server.
I logged in to the website as Admin and didn't see an upload button. I refreshed the page. I still don't see an upload button. Because I don't usually upload the photos, I'm not 100% sure where the upload button is supposed to be. Please let me know where the button should be and I can see if reloading helped. I started from the custom Photo Gallery page and clicked "Edit this page" at the top. None of the buttons say upload. The closest I got was the Images button and that requires a link.
I see your post asking about someone who is a little tech savvy. How much tech savvy and in what way? I'm willing to give it a try.
I am working on a Mac, OS X 10.10.1 Safari 8.0.
Well, I cannot reproduce the error, which makes it very difficult for me to fix. (like trying to drive with your eyes closed... not wise)
I need someone that is having the issue to run with the developer tools enabled in their browser to see if they get any errors that show up in the developer console when they reload the page and try to access the image tool. Since the 3rd party editor is written entirely in javascript, is likely a javascript error that would show up in the developer tools. Also, we ran into sporadic javascript errors the last time we updated the editor, also. I could not see that error then, either. This approach is exactly what we did the last time to track down that error.
If you need more details or guidance then that let me know. Fortunately, I recently loaded Safari (for Windows) on my computer, so I can take a look at where the developer tools are at if you need that. (I have not used Safari developer tools.)
