Roles for one member with multiple items on the agenda - Inconsistent was created by MoniqueTremblay
Despite valiant efforts on both Margaret Walton (VP Ed) and myself (Past Pres/Web support) we have tried to create our standard template to ensure that ‘sign ups’ do not appear for multiple roles that repeat in our Agenda. We have used the same ‘coding strucuture’ throughout and yet for some reason the four agenda elements listed below continue to appear as a ‘sign-up’ opportunity. Please see attached mock-up to show what is happening from a 'member' view.
Please advise both Margaret bandmw93@gmail.com and I what corrective measures if any can be done. Or is this a clitch due to the recent improvements.
VP Ed 2015 3 speech template
6;11 "*Grammarian*"
6:28 "*Toastmaster*"
7:15 "*Toastmaster*"
7:18 "*Evaluator #3*"

Monique,
Unfortunately, the agenda template needs a major overhaul.
Here is the link to the instructions: support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/editing-an-agenda

You need to remove the quotation marks from your role titles, e.g. *Toastmaster* and *Grammarian*
You can incorporate these in role titles, e.g. *Toastmaster*s Welcome, and *Toastmaster*s Close
You only need asterisks around the titles where the role appears on the agenda multiple times. If Evaluator #3 only appears once on the agenda there is no need for any asterisks for that role. For multiple agenda items use *Evaluator#3*
Speech Evaluator #1 and Evaluator #2 will be analysed separately in your role reports. for the "#" to work correctly the roles should be consistent. i.e. Evaluator #1, Evaluator #2 .... OR Speech Evaluator#1 Speech Evaluator#2.....

I will give that a shot today - but I understand the confusion. The instructions while in the Agenda template shows using the Quotations and Asterisks combined. See below - maybe we need to update the instructions to provide more clarity. I will let you know how I make out Pam as I am involved in helping some of my area clubs to embrace the web and the agenda is their biggest pain point.
Roles for one member with multiple items on the agenda should be entered by enclosing the keyword with "*". For example, "*Toastmaster* Welcomes Members and Guests","*Toastmaster* Closes Meeting" -- this will allow one signup to cover multiple items
