Thanks much for the tip to do a speech on the website. At this point, we have no one logging in except the new members...once.

You have to give them good enough reasons to log in and use the website. Also, members frequently forget their passwords and forget how to retrieve it. That is why I have a public Member Login Help page on my club website... feel free to copy it.

You do not have much member specific content, thus there would not be much reason for a member to log in.

If you want ideas for member specific content, just ask.

Yes, I would appreciate hearing some ideas for member specific content. Thank you for allowing me to copy your info for Member Login Help.

Members Only Content:
  1. Virtual Speech Timer: www.d4tm.org/images/html/Speech_Timer/speech_timer_800x600.htm
(There are others, also. Just Google for them, and then link to them on your Members Menu.)
  2. Put any meeting forms you use in a Virtual Folder (via File Manager) in the Members Only area.
  3. Create a New Member Orientation video that you link to from the Members Only menu.
  4. Put a link to your club's DCP "scoreboard" on your Members Only menu: dashboards.toastmasters.org/ClubReport.aspx?id=00000347
  5. Put a synopsis of the various speech projects in your Members Only area.
  6. Put the CL check list in your members only download area.
  7. Put a synopsis of the various officer roles in your Members Only area.
There are probably some other ideas, also, from other people. These are just the ones I can think of right now.

BTW, from looking at your DCP "scoreboard", your club is a strong club. However, I would not guess that from your website. If you are Select Distinguished club or a Presidents Distinguished club, you should brag about that on your home page. That will grab positive attention and likely get you more meeting guests from your website. (My club has been a Presidents Distinguished club every year since 2008 and we are not shy about saying that on our home page.)

A suggestion for your website header... Only keep the name of your club at the top and whether it was Select Distinguished or President's Distinguished... That is for starters...
