I am going to be proactive and give you some recommendations to help smooth this process for you:
1. Remove the domain name, but enter a website alias in the box to the left of the domain. I strongly recommend that you use
beachcities as your website alias, *not* beachcitiestoastmasters. (It will become more apparent over time as to why. Basically, shorter is better.)
2. You will need to change your website address in your TI Find a Club page, since it will still point to the custom domain name, which will cause you to lose meeting guests if you do not change it. I strongly recommend that you use the club number version of your website address in your find a club entry, as it will *always* work regardless of what website alias or custom domain name you use in the future. In other words, use
Code:
http://3921.toastmastersclubs.org
for your website address in the Find A Club entry--it will always work as long as you continue to use a FTH website, and you will never need to update it.
3. Think of any other place that your website address is referenced. For example, your Facebook page. Make sure you update it there, also.
4. Start to train your club members to use the website alias version of your website address:
Code:
http://beachcities.toastmastersclubs.org
(assuming you took my recommendation above for using beachcities as your website alias)
5. Start to train your club members to use the club number version of your email list addresses. For example, they will need to use members-3921@toastmastersclubs.org for the members list email address. You should find the correct email addresses in the Email and Contact Forms module. For example, you may want to send out an email to your members with the above members list address explaining the use website and email addresses.
If I think of anything else, I will do another post.
