Hi Guys,

I am trying to add an Area Humor contest agenda to my calendar. Not to be mistaken for a contest club meeting agenda. If I try to customize an existing club meeting agenda template it always shows up on my calendar as a blue "Club meeting" when you are looking at the entire monty calendar (enclosed)

This is not a club meeting it is an District Area Contest but I want people from our club to be able to sign up for functionary roles.
I can add an Administrative Event (in burgundy) but this does not allow me to add roles that people can sign up for.

Please let me know if this can be done or if this makes sense.

Thanks,

This is going to be a bit tricky since we do not give you any flexible control over the event colors in the calendar currently.

If you want burgundy, the only thing I can think of is to make use of the event URL feature of the event to link the admin added event to some version of the agenda, perhaps a PDF version of the agenda that you create (via a print to PDF tool) and upload to the file manager and then fetch the link for. Alternatively, you could convert the agenda to an image and put it in a custom page... then link to that.

In any case, even using the blue agenda events would not work, since I presume you would want people outside your club to be able to view the agenda. The blue agenda events will not allow non-members to view an agenda. (due to privacy concerns)

I would suggest making up such an agenda in Google Doc's and uploading that to your website. Then add that to your calendar.

Thanks for the help guys.

@Steve - The blue agenda might not be that bad. I am really just trying to get members in my club to volunteer. Is there a way to change the title of the blue agenda on the calendar I enclosed before so that it does not say "club meeting"? That way people do not mistake the event as a meeting?

Thanks,

-Paul
