Changing Site Admin

Hi, I followed the instructions here on how to change our site admin. I got the email saying that my request will need approval. My predecessor sent me an email saying that he already approved it. I did not receive a confirmation email though. Can you help check on the status of changing our site admin to me? Thank you.

I see you sent me another email that the approval is pending. What does my predecessor have to do to approve the request? Does he need to log in and make some changes to the site?
