Auto filling role assignment based on role signup from earlier section of Agenda

We have for example "TImer introduction" at the first part of Agenda and then he would be called again to give a report on speakers time duration, evaluation and so on.. (these appear at later part of Agenda).
When members signup for a timers role, they are expected to sign up only at one place.
Which means the other spaces are left blank (or) worse still, some other members name may get assigned there...
Is there any way to "Allow Members to signup for a role" at only place but then make there name appear again at a different spot in Agenda based on earlier assignmen?

Please read the agenda documentation, especially the parts on the use of * in the role names for repeating roles.

Thank you Brian. That worked. Thanks a lot for the prompt response. I have updated the agenda based on your inputs. This is going to make our club more efficient & save us from a lot of trouble we were going through. Thanks again.
