What to do to access Pathways information from a website?

Hi,

Happy Friday!

Since FreeToastHost website is separate from Pathways site, I am wondering what did you do to make Pathways speech information available in the meeting agenda page?

One of my corporate clubs uses their internal tools for the meeting agenda. However, they miss the great features you provide through FreeToastHost, especially the connection to Pathways speeches. Do you have any suggestion for them to implement this specific feature in their internal website?

I am also curious, whether Toastmasters International allows us to access their Pathways database at all? If they would allow us to do it, it would be great since we have some toastmasters who are savvy in tech, might be able to help their own clubs to have a more robust system, encourage their members to embrace Pathways more.

Thanks a lot for your help on this.
Best
Jin

There are some sensitivities around this involving copyright and privacy issues. We do not have access to the Pathways Basecamp database at all--we do not get any information from it. Any Pathways information that we have was obtained with the help of our team and our users who have downloaded it in the past from Basecamp so that we could then load it on the FreeToastHost server. However, discussions were had with the appropriate people at that time prior to loading copies of the information on the FTH server since it is copyrighted information.

Thus, there was a bit more involved in getting the Pathways project information into the system than you may realize--it was not all technical challenges.

I implemented the Pathways features as a way to add more value to the FTH system and better distinguish it from alternative systems. In the long run, I believe I am going to have to come up with an automated approach to determine when the information we have on the FTH server is out of date. That is a yet unresolved technical challenge for me.

Hi Steve,
I didn't realize it was all done "manually". Thanks for letting me know. You are incredible!!! I appreciated it. Please feel free to ask if there is anything you like the FreeToastHost users to contribute. It would be our honor to play our roles to assist you. Best, Jin
