club number changing
4 years 2 months ago
We have been operating under an assigned club number for 3 years, though the club never officially chartered.
We just learned from Toastmasters International that our club number expired, and now that we are ready to charter with 20 members, we will be assigned a new club number.
Can FTH admins migrate us to a different club number?

You will need to let us know when you have both numbers and we will have a look at what can be done. This not something we usually do. Your prospective club should have chartered after 12-18 months or been notified by TI to disband.

As I mentioned, we were operating on a club number: #7049935 that we did not realize was expired.
We officially chartered finally, in June, 2021, and we were assigned a new club number: #7908934
(In District 10, Division S, Area 32)
Is there some way you can migrate us to this new club number?

There is a way (we have the technical means), but since this is unusual and something we do not want to create a precedent for, we will want to do some investigation on our end first.

Ok, I have completed an investigation and confirmed your information. The club number has been changed.
You may now access your website via your updated club number: 7908934.toastmastersclubs.org
I had to update a couple of image references in your home page content, also. You should go through any and all content you have added to check for links or references that still reference the old website address and update those. We normally don't touch your content if we can help it. This is one reason why we do not want to create a precedent for this action.
Additionally, I looked at your Membership Management module and you have a couple of members that have not yet opted in, one of which whose information will be deleted in a week or so if they do not do the opt-in. (You can resend the opt in email if need be, though.) You should address that with those members.
Lastly, congratulations on chartering.
It is an accomplishment that you should feel very proud of.
Good luck and best wishes for your club.
