Cannot access club website
2 years 6 months ago
For about the past 24 hours, I've been unable to access our club website (
www.sriorganon.com
) using my Comcast internet. My browsers, after a delay, return: Safari can't open the page "
www.sriorganon.com
" because the server where this page is located is not responding [Firefox returns The connection has timed out An error occurred during a connection to
www.sriorganon.com
] I've never had problems before--this just started happening about 24 hours ago--and the rest of the internet world (e.g.
www.google.com
) seems to work just fine. Thus far Comcast support has been no help in fixing this. Were any recent changes made to the FTH server that might guide a solution?

Your wwebsite is working just fine for me on Safari and MS Edge. Try refreshing your browser.

It works just fine for me too when I access it using my iPhone's cellular data (AT&T) network. The lack of access is from my home Comcast internet when I try to access the website, not just from two browsers on my one computer, but also from a second mac computer, a third windows 10 computer, and my wifi-only iPad. If I turn cellular data off on the iPhone (so it uses my wifi) and try to access the site, it returns "Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding". The access problem doesn't seem to be a global "Comcast" problem: another club member who uses Comcast and lives about 20 miles from me can still get to
www.sriorganon.com
. Clearing browser cache's hasn't helped.

Just to clarify: my club web site no longer responds when I try to access it via my usual network (comcast internet), where I have a public IPv4 address 73.170.xx.xxx
It appears that the server started "blocking" me about 36 hours ago. It won't even respond to a "ping" request:PING www.sriorganon.com (50.19.253.65): 56 data bytes
Request timeout for icmp_seq 0
Request timeout for icmp_seq 1
Request timeout for icmp_seq 2
Request timeout for icmp_seq 3

round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 9.826/12.152/14.718/1.736 msIf I access the server from a different public IP (cellular data network) where my public IP is 107.77.xxx.xxx, the website loads just fine.
How do I go about getting my normal IP "unblocked" by the FTH server?

Someone using your IP tried to access the server using a wordpress link and the IP was blocked as a hack.

Brian
That indeed is my IP, but I haven't been doing anything with wordpress, or for that matter anything related to FTH. I did have a page on our club web site displayed on one of my browser tabs, awaiting an edit to add a new video link, while I was still in the process of uploading the video to YouTube. I don't remember if it was in edit mode or not.
Is there anything I can do to get the IP unblocked? Right now it's still blocked.
