Hi everyone,

I am currently the VPE at Washtenaw Toastmasters (club#3054) and we use FreeToastHost to get members to sign-up for roles and speeches. After each meeting, I reconcile the agenda, including who served what role and who was present. And I also run speech reports on various members. I am in the process of training the new VPE, an experienced TM without any current admin privileges. She is also not currently an officer within our club.

To train her, I want to start delegating some of this stuff in order to give her guided practice. With her current role in our club, what can and can't she do right now on FreeToastHost? And if there is something she cannot do, what would be a good way to train her, especially with Covid, to get her familiar with FreeToastHost from a VPE point of view?

Thanks and I look forward to your response

One of the changes that we made a couple of years ago specifically to support training new officers is that we enabled members that were designated as "Other Officer" in Membership Management to be assigned access rights for specific admin modules in FTH.

Thus, what you can do is to first make the new officer an "Other Officer" in Membership Management, then assign that person to have access to the same stuff as you in the Access Settings tab in Website Settings. You will still be subject to the 3 person max for access rights, but this does give you a way to assign new officers access rights for training purposes.

Additionally, by making the person an "Other Officer", they will be included in the officers email list, so if your club is using that list, they will also get those emails.

Relevant User Docs:
