Perhaps this is already a feature in some form or another, but it would be nice if club admins could configure some sort of template for the emails that go through the email masking and forwarding service (i.e. members-####@toastmastersclubs.org).

This idea/desire stemmed from wanting to include a few standard links to club resources (e.g. role instructions, agenda) in the footer of every email.

On the implementation side, it could obviously vary greatly in terms of customizability and complexity. Simply being able to configure header and footer HTML to be injected in every email would probably be the easiest thing. On the more powerful but complicated end of the spectrum would be allowing the use of a templating engine like Liquid or Handlebars (though few people would likely use this so it's probably not worth it).

Curious what people's thoughts are on the simple solution. It would be helpful to be able to include standard info in the footer of every relayed email.

1) You are using the "FREEToasthost" free service why would we want to mask it? members-####@toastmastersclubs.org

2) If you have your own domain name which you club pays for, your club email addresses change to your domain name for incoming email. and your site website uses your domain name. ie. members@myclubdomainname

Hi Brian,

Thanks for your response. I think my first message was a bit unclear. I was just using the phrase "email masking and forwarding service" as a descriptor for the email relay. I'm not requesting a change to that part of the service.

I'm asking about adding a customizable standard header and/or footer to the emails that get prepended/appended to whatever message content someone sends to the members-####@toastmastersclubs.org email. For example, if I customized the footer to include a link to the meeting agendas in all emails and then sent the following email:

Hello Club Members,
A friendly reminder that we will be meeting half an hour earlier than usual.
See you there!

then each club member would receive this in their inbox:

Hello Club Members,
A friendly reminder that we will be meeting half an hour earlier than usual.
See you there!

Standard reminder: You can always view the meeting agenda here .

This would help us to spread awareness of club resources and static important information.

Email Tools; You can customize stuff between the salutation/signature as needed (there's no separate header/footer) and store as many templates as suits your purposes.

Depending on the type of email communications your club desires, Custom Groups may come in handy as well. (speeds up the selection of specific groups of people in Membership Management.)

I am presuming that you are looking for some ability to have the system treat an email that you sent from your email client (or webmail) to an FTH email address as more like a template or have the ability to have it include header / footer text.   Am I interpreting this correctly?
