My fellow Board Members and I have seen repeated references to the availability of email accounts created automatically for Officers. Yet, none of us can find instructions on how to set-up an email client to access these accounts. I've reviewed the documentation here, and it only states how to determine what the ID will be based on established naming conventions -- but nothing about how to actually USE it: for example, what the current / default password is; how to set-up an account in an email client (Outlook, MacMail, etc.) to send and receive messages; criteria like incoming / outgoing servers and ports, etc.

Please reach us through the Chapter email ID in our Support Profile, which can be accessed by all of our Board Members.

Thank you in advance for providing instruction.

The only support we provide is via these forums, as we are all volunteers.

There are not email accounts, per se, these are forwarding email addresses that are set up for the officers--they forward to your actual email addresses entered in Membership management.  People can send email to those officer email addresses, but you cannot send email from those email addresses.

What board members are you referring to?
A Club has a Club Executive not a board.

I have sent multiple messages to individual and group IDs provided -- for example, "This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it." and "officers@" -- both by web interface as well as system email client -- and none seems to have ever gone through. I've verified in my profile that the checkbox for "DO NOT create account" is UN-checked. So there should be no prohibition against having created a forwarding path for emails to me as President. I've checked "Junk" and there's nothing there. Why would these not be working? Thank you.

Your DNS settings are not set up correctly for email via FTH.

Specifically, the following is not correct:

mail.brickelltoastmasters.com. 14400 IN A 162.241.216.29

Please refer to the following document for information on setting up your custom domain DNS settings:

This sounds like what could explain the problem, thanks for checking. We'll investigate and report back.
