Migrating to FTH4

Your club admin received the instructions to update their admin password to access FTH4. (FTH3 admin passwords will NOT work in FTH4). Follow the instructions in the email and use 'Member sign in' in the top right corner to access the Club Admin account.

If you are not sure who the club admin is, in your member account; look at 'Club Officers and Members' > "Club Email addresses". The LAST item in this list is the person who is currently listed as your club admin.

If this is not correct, please complete and submit this form to change your club admin:

No message at all. Just does nothing. I know this sound goofy, but I just tried it again and this morning, Word, Excel and Pages documents all downloaded. All gave the prompt “do you want to download…”. The pdfs do not give this prompt.
PDFs have consistently not downloaded. The other files work sometimes and then do not.

When you try to do a download, do you get an error message or anything that shows up on screen?

Some of our FTH ambassadors use Macs... I am curious if they are also seeing the issue.
I tried this on my wife's Macbook Pro (macOS Monterrey v12.6) and observed the same behavior as described.

When 'Download' is selected in the 'File Download' dialog box nothing happens and no error message. This is on Safari v16 (17614.1.25.9.10 17614)

Grabbing the file address and changing the action to inline works. I pasted the address into a new Safari window, changed the action to inline and it opens the file which can then be downloaded.

File download worked normally in Chrome on this Macbook Pro.

if you think the inline V’s download change will fix this, I’m happy to do that! Just couldn’t find how to change the Direct URL code
thanks again!
It won't fix the issue but it may give you a way to get files while we (Steve) looks into it.

See this document:

support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/linking-to-files

Note the yellow box at the bottom of this page. This is what I described doing in my previous reply to Steve.

I just did what I have been doing for the past 2 days and the PDF files both downloaded just fine as they have every other time prior to last week.
No idea why if you didn’t change anything, but if it stays, I suppose I don’t care!

Thank you to everyone who worked with this! Hopefully issue is resolved permanently. N
