Migrating to FTH4

Your club admin received the instructions to update their admin password to access FTH4. (FTH3 admin passwords will NOT work in FTH4). Follow the instructions in the email and use 'Member sign in' in the top right corner to access the Club Admin account.

If you are not sure who the club admin is, in your member account; look at 'Club Officers and Members' > "Club Email addresses". The LAST item in this list is the person who is currently listed as your club admin.

If this is not correct, please complete and submit this form to change your club admin:

duplicate emails

Midway Toastmasters club 383

Hello,

I'm seeing an issue where emails sent to our club member and guest email lists ("members-383@" and "guests-383@") show up twice in recipient email inboxes (two duplicate copies). This just started happening around 1 month ago. I've seen it happen with multiple different email senders, so I don't think it's just a personal email issue.

Do you have any advice on how to resolve this issue? Are there any FreeToastHost settings that might cause this?

Also sorry for reposting this, but nobody responded the first time I posted this question here.

Thanks,
Bryan Brudevold

Are you mailing the Members and Guests in separate emails or both in the same email.

In this case one email is being addressed to both "members-383@" and "guests-383@" to send to both members and guests at the same time. But then everyone sees double copies of the email.

@Brian; these double sends can be seen in the list server logs to both addresses.

I am wondering if this might be a quirk of the custom groups? Bryan, as a troubleshooting step to help FTH Admin (Brian), can you send a message to only one group? (either members or guests)

I sent an email to just guests-383 and I only saw one copy in my inbox. Then I repeated with members-383 and also saw only one copy. So this suggests the issue might only happen when emails are addressed to both lists.

It is a known issue, do NOT send to more than one list at a time.
