Attendance & Look Ahead

Our VPE has been trying to make the "Not Attending" work for our look ahead planning.  She can readily see where she can put it into FTH for herself but cannot find where to put it in for others.  She knows she can put in "Absent" for a future meeting, but then "Absent" does not show up in the projected attendance report (found under meetings/ signup/attendance). Nor does any of the RSVP or actual attendance status show on the exported versions. Would it be possible to add "Not Attending" as something the VPE can enter for future meetings for members - this "Not Attending" functionality added (for VPEs and/or VPMs) to apply to members. Also can a change be made to get the names displayed (instead of something that can only be seen by hovering over to read). These changes could be a useful way to do look ahead planning and communications to members.  Unfortunately, without the ability to clearly see future "Not Attending", it means the VPE needs to maintain a side planning sheet that may or may not be in sync with the FTH.  As it currently is, this is adding work for the VPE

1) Yes there was an issue with absent not showing in the forecaster as not attending. Thank you for bring it forward.

2) your VPE can use the Attendance to mark people absent in future meetings

We can see where we can mark people as absent for future meetings and have been doing so. However, we  would like to see these individuals on the chart under "Signup / Attendance, Role Assignments".  On that chart, it shows some future "Not Attending" but does not show any "Absent" individuals.  Our preference is to have the list of names that are either "Not Attending" or "Absent" for future weeks (versus the bubbles we need to hover over) in this particular chart. The instructions indicated we should see the results in the agenda forecaster but we I have yet to find them there.

We don't find the Agenda Forecaster useful for our club - our list of members includes several individuals that are paid members with long term absences for various reasons.  We want to keep them in the system as members for communication purposes.  We have been planning to indicate their attendance as "Not Recorded" and not mark them as "Absent".  Also, the Agenda Forecaster does not have a place where we can "ramp up" new members in meeting roles - from the "less complex" to "more complex" roles appropriate for their unique learning and development needs.  And the Agenda Forecaster includes all individuals with a status of "Not Recorded" which then brings in all the longer-range-absent individuals.
