Permission to cancel a role.

On our agendas, I see the [x] symbol to cancel a sign-up when the person signed up is Pres or VPE, but not if the person is a non-officer. We want it so that any member who clicks SIGN UP, can also cancel their sign-up.

What global permission, or agenda template setting controls that?
Might it be associated with "Enable Role Confirmations"?

Thanks for the help. We all love FTH.

Already exists. Please read the documentation.
Any member can cancel their role 2 ways, when they log in and view the agenda they can click the X or mark themselves as not attending.

Thanks, but the clickable X only appears for some members, not all. The documentation says that the X will always be there.

This link is to a screen shot showing an agenda and 2 roles. One has the X, the other doesn't.

"Not attending" is another way. Thanks for that.

Who was logged in?
The X ONLY appears to the person logged in or the roles that have been set to have agenda update.
Thank you,

I think I have it now. "set to have agenda update" means "This is a role for which members can sign up" . In this case, the role did not have that checked, but the member was assigned the role by agenda edit. That's why they can't cancel themselves.

I just tested that. Problem fixed. Thanks for your help.

The checkboxes that are set for each role in the agenda editor determine a *lot* of what you see for each role on the agenda sign-up screen.

Also, as Brian notes, this is covered in our documentation:
