Editable Meeting Sign-up Sheet

I’ve just created a web page on our club site with a link to a sign up spreadsheet in Google Drive. It is editable from my PC, but not my iPad or iPhone. Based upon my perusal (go ahead, use it as a “Word of The Day) of this site, it appears that our FTH platform is not mobile friendly. And I’m not sure about iOS. (For example when I open the spread sheet where the members are listed in the admin console, I cannot scroll within the sheet. And yea, I’ve used Chrome as well as Safari.)

What’s the best practice for online sign ups and agenda management. I vaguely recall something, but we’ve never used it in our club. If the club adopts it, how easy is it to install?

Thanks.

I use FTH on my phone all the time with Chrome and ever have issues.

Your members can sign up directly on the web site, they don't need an editable signup sheet.

If you are using a third party with FTH please go to the third party and ask your questions.

Brian, Thanks for the prompt response. However, it doesn’t address my question which is, “What’s the best practice for online sign ups?

As for you using Chrome on your phone, were you trying to click through an FTH web page to a Google Doc that is editable? If so, I’d love to know how it was set up because it ain’t happen’ on my iPhone or iPad.

I’m not an IT professional. I’m just a club member who took on this role because no one else would. So plain English is appreciated.

Do you have an example?

Are you sure the link you are using is public editable?

Today I volunteered a group of members to beta test the sheet. Some are current officers who would have editable rights within the Google Docs group. Others are members who don’t. I can’t reach the club secretary who created the docs so I don’t know if public access is an issue or not. I can tell you that I can edit from my PC but not from my mobile iOS devices. As I mentioned, I cannot scroll using mobile iOS either.

But I’m not really concerned about that right now. I need to have others try to edit (for example on a MacBook) to see what issues we have. From reading this forum, it could be because FTH is not yet mobile friendly. If so, we can deal with that. I can always put a notice on the web page above the link telling them to copy and paste it into a browser, as a work around.

I am more interested in being pointed to the best practice for online sign up. I seem to recall one, but I cannot remember the name. This, of course, would be a change management issue with our club, but we can deal with that.
