Meeting Attendance Alphabatize by Last Name

Sorry, if this was requested before. I did a search and couldn't find anything.

Is it possible for the member list in the Meeting Attendance tab on the agenda be updated so the list could be alphabetized by last name instead of first?

Or could that be a general feature in the website settings so each club could set their own preference?

We only have Name, there is no first or last.
So the answer is no.
If you want to enter all your members names in membership management last then first, ithey will appear in the order you want

When I redesigned the Membership Management module about 4 or 5 yrs ago (seems like forever) I specifically looked at whether names should be split into first and last names in the module. I realized that they were split in the WHQ database.

However, clubs are less formal. Clubs add suffixes to names. (e.g. DTM) Some names are more than one word for the first or last name. Also, I looked at a number of other factors including the benefits of having them stored split and concluded that I could split the names as needed (mainly for name tags) and that I should just keep them stored as one field.

So that is where we are now, and I have not heard that many complaints about it.

Thanks for the information. It's not a huge issue, but it is frustrating since names are more commonly alphabetized by last name instead of first (at least in my experience).

If no one else thinks this would be a nice feature to have in the future, then no worries.
