Change of website names???? was created by LindaMann
Is it possible to just change the name of a website of a Freetoasthost rather than cancel that website and start another?
Pro-Con Debaters is no more, however they started another one and they want for me to make up a new one for the new club... I am wondering if I can just change the name of this site to the new one...

I'm assuming that you're talking about a club that no longer exists, but another club has risen from the ashes, so to speak.
The thing is that the sites are identified by club number. "procondebaters" is an alias - the actual site definition is 2549330.toastmastersclubs.org This is the reason we ask for club number - so that we know which site we're dealing with. If you used that site for a club with a different number, it's going to cause confusion, hair-tearing and who knows what else further down the line.
Cancelling a club site is a fairly straightforward matter. All you have to do is leave a message for Brian and he will take care of it, usually within a few hours.
You don't even have to wait for that to happen before you apply for the new site. That's assuming that the club has applied to TI and got a club number.

Club 2549330 has been removed from the valid club list at Toastmasters.org and will be removed from FTH.

Club number is to remain the same, but the name is going to change. Can I still use that website and change the name?

Hello and thank you for the quick response. I omitted that the club number will remain the same. Is it possible to keep the old site and just change the name?
