Good Morning,
I am working on using the new functionality to print name tags (which btw I LOVE having this available). The current name tag holders I have are larger so I need to print the 4x3 size. I've selected it and saved it from the drop down. When it opens in preview, it appears to be the larger size; however, when it actually prints, it is printing the smaller size. I tried this from different computers and printers (as I previously had a problem with my browser storing preferences).
Is there anything else I need to do in terms of settings on the site or in my browser to get the larger name tags to print?
Thank you,
Carolyn

Make sure that the layout template is the same size as what you selected in the drop down. The two have to match. One selects the size of the layout, the other selects the size of the cells in the table used for printing.
I have not yet figured out a good way to force them to be the same. The reason is the image in the background of the templates is tied to the template size... there isn't a good way to resize the image on the fly without making it look skewed.

Hi Steve,
Thanks for the quick response! I just had one follow-up question. When you state - "Make sure that the layout template is the same size as what you selected in the drop down", what is meant by the layout template? Is that a setting within the browser when it pops up the print preview or am I missing it somewhere on the name tag management section?
thank you!
Carolyn

Steve,
I figured it out. The insert paragraph was defaulting at the smaller size, which was cutting it off. I clicked on the one a bit further down to indicate insert a paragraph there and got it to work.
Thanks again for your help!!!!

Hold on a second...
I took a look at your nametag layout, and discovered it was picking up a half an inch in height beyond the 3 inches, when printed. I think there is something that is not getting accounted for in the code regarding the height when printed. (I will have to look into it further on my end.) The width comes out fine.
In any case, I adjusted the layout height in your layout to 2.5 inches to compensate, and it now prints the correct height at 3 inches per name tag for me. (Again, not sure yet where the .5 inch print error is coming from.) If you have problems with this, let me know, and I will change it back for you or tell you how to change it.
I did just adjust the page layout math in the server code to account for the size of the fine borders, which do have a size, however small, and were messing up the page layout in some cases. Each border is now getting factored in as a hundredth of an inch square.
