Data Transfer Error Message & VERY Slow Website

I have been trying to update member profiles and roles in the meeting for the past couple of weeks and keep getting the following error message:

"Data Transfer Error
JavaScript Function=MemberProfile Status=error

In addition the new website has been INCREDIBLY Slow....any suggestions?

Please click the reload link at the bottom of you site and try it again.

We are working on the server response issues and are upgrading the server hardware.

Were there any more details in the error message than that?

No that was it. It seems to be working better now.
