Hmmm... I need to think about this. Did you see anything significant on the save?

No. Windows scrolled a bit, but no error messages etc. that I saw. By the way, the IE was 8.0.6001.18702 vintage running on an XP machine.

Bill, the little lock icons in the Private Member Directory aren't active - they are just displayed to show whether the member's profile is public or not. To actually change the status from private to public the member has to go to Edit Your Profile. The admin can access that through Membership Management.
Some documentation that might be of help:

Pam,
With all due respect, you seem to be unaware of a feature that has been in the program since it's first release, namely the ability of
the sysadmin to click on the lock icons in "Private Member Directory" to change the profile from locked to unlocked, just as the file manager allows clicking on its lock icons to move a file from private to public or vice-versa.
Consider first that Steve the Techie has been helping me try to "fix" the problem and secondly if you roll over one of the locks and read the roll-over text it says something like "click here to change the profile from private to public"..
Yes, I am well aware of the other methods of achieving this goal as per your citations, but the ability to "click the lock" has been part of the system since very early on.

My apologies Bill, I was not aware that the feature even existed. I was testing logged in as admin only, not as admin and member. Logged in as admin only, the icon is inactive on my screen (and I don't see the bubble help either). Logged in as admin & member I see the "click here to make this profile Private", but the lock icon doesn't actually change from one status to the other when clicked. Does your icon change? I have a feeling the function has been removed since the access is now via Membership Management, but the message has inadvertently been left behind. I could be wrong. Steve will be able to confirm.
