Correction -logged in as admin only there is no access to the Private Membership Directory of course. I guess I just wasn't seeing the bubble help earlier when logged in as member and admin. Not sure why that is, as it is now blatantly obvious.

Pam,
I don't know enough about the software structure to understand why "admin" does not automatically get treated as "member" at the same time, and I have found that to be an annoyance, especially when editing the Private Member List. When we get a new member,
the first thing I do after paying for them at TI WHQ is to copy their full member data (Member number, address, phone(s) and email(s)) into the officer's notes section of the Private Member Directory, and that requires the double login. Oh well. The feature MAY have been deleted, but if so Steve did not know it when he started chasing this "odd" behavior. THe other Tech was able to "fix" a couple of people
for me, but it was not clear whether he used the "click the lock" or the "new menus" method.

Roger,
Did you fix the two people for me using the "click the lock" or using the menus?

Bill,

yes I did.

I clicked on membership management, then on the arrow at the far right of the member's information line.

On the next screen, clicked on Yes, and then Clicked Save, Close.

See my screenshot attached.

With all due respect, you seem to be unaware of a feature that has been in the program since it's first release, namely the ability of
the sysadmin to click on the lock icons in "Private Member Directory" to change the profile from locked to unlocked, just as the file manager allows clicking on its lock icons to move a file from private to public or vice-versa.
Consider first that Steve the Techie has been helping me try to "fix" the problem and secondly if you roll over one of the locks and read the roll-over text it says something like "click here to change the profile from private to public"..
Yes, I am well aware of the other methods of achieving this goal as per your citations, but the ability to "click the lock" has been part of the system since very early on.

Lock click functionality in Private Member Directory is fixed.

(Actually restored... Now I know what that stray function does that I had deleted. ;) )

Steve,
Much thanks and good karma! I thought something might have gone away as part of another edit!

Roger,
Thanks for telling me what you did. I was aware of that method, but was trying to use the old feature of clicking on the
lock icon within Private Member Directory to do the same job, and Steve has now restored that trick! Thanks to both of you.
