Contact enquiries going to other clubs was created by PhilToast1
We are being advised from other clubs that emails sent to our contact@rowvilletoastmasters.org.au address are being received by other clubs. Have we been hacked or something like that?

I looked into the situation. For one thing, you do not have contact@rowvilletoastmasters.org.au enabled for your club, and I can see from a review of our logs that may be a good thing. Reason: There is a lot of spam being directed at that publically accessible email address that the system is blocking for you because you do not have it enabled. This is a good example of why we require the contact email address to be explicitly enabled in version 2.20. (Also, see
support.toastmastersclubs.org/4-general-...ail-address-disabled
) If it was always enabled as in the past, you may have gotten hammered by a lot of spam (assuming it got past our spam filter).
What is most likely happening is that some spammer is sending spam to a list of contact email addresses (which are public and easy to figure out), and yours is probably one of the ones in the list. The other clubs may be seeing your contact email address in the list and assuming that it is enabled (which it is not).
Here is what I am seeing in our logs... Notice how these are spam emails that the FTH email system is blocking (the FAILUREs):

Thanks for the prompt reply and help. So do you suggest I enable it, or with the amount of spam we receive, do you suggest we do something differently?

I cannot make that decision for you. You would have to look at what are the benefits to your club vs the additional spam risks. As you can see from the log entries I have shown you, your club will definitely be vulnerable to spam if you do enable it.
If you wish to use that email address in the TM Find a Club page for your club as an alternate way to get in touch with your club contacts (alternative to Contact Us form), then yes, you would need to enable it. However, keep in mind that the Contact Us *form* will always work regardless of whether you use the contact email address.
If you choose to enable it and take the additional risk of getting more spam, then I would recommend that you get familiar with the additional "Email Security" settings I added in 2.20 in the Email and Contact Forms dialog. Those would allow you to black list (block) someone who is spamming your club and you can also increase the aggressiveness of the spam filter we use. Be careful with the latter, though, if you increase the spam filter aggressiveness too much, you can end up filtering out legitimate email ("false positives").
