We were able to get a great deal on label stock but will return it if we can't make it work. We have not made name tags from site before and want to paste them on folded card stock vs pin-on so labels that stick would be helpful. Not sure what you mean by name tag stock?

Ok, now I understand. We may do name tents and/or business cards in the future with the same sort of functionality. I would just need to do some tweaking of the interface and some testing. Again, this is why I really need to get a sense of how things are going with this.

"name tag stock" was mis-typed on my part. I actually intended to type "plain paper", but I goofed. :S

I knew that Steve would be a great help, since he was the one who created that option...

Thank you Steve for your help!

Hi Steve,

First, thanks for adding this size! Unfortunately I don't think it will work for printing on the labels we have. The label pages have border spacing around each label including down the middle and the name tags print next to each other. It looks like the only spacing option on the website is for left and top margins so I'm not able to space each name tag to fit the Avery format. Not sure this is something you want to take on at your end as it seems quite complicated to me! Our back-up plan is to tape or paste the name tags on to card stock to get our "tents".

Thanks, Jan

It can be done, but again this is why I recommend printing on plain paper (less headaches). ;)

What you can do is make half the gutter (border) spacing an internal margin of the label and then disable the printed border lines.

You basically add a padding attribute to the style for the div container.

When you do this, it puts an internal margin in the name tag which prevents printing in that space.

If you give me the amount of the gutter spacing between the adhesive labels, I can probably make the appropriate adjustment for you in your name tag layout.
