You don't use the word Toowoomba enough on your front page for it to become a keyword for Goggle.

The clubs you are competing with have Toowoomba in the club name which is a great advantage.

Try putting the word Toowoomba and address right at the top of the front page and leave it there for 6 weeks and see if Google likes you any better.

Use the word Toowoomba

Try using word combinations like

Toowoomba BUSINESS FOCUS Toastmasters Club

BUSINESS FOCUS Toastmasters Club in Toowoomba

Sometime you need to slap google up the side fo the head so you need to use the google webmaster tools, like we tell you in the documentation. We don't write documentation just to fill space there is always reason.

If you read the documentation links I sent you the meta data information is contained in those docs.

The information on the website alias is also contain in the docs.

Replied by RogerM on topic website does not appear in a google search

What do I need to do to get you to answer the questions in my emails? This is not a rhetorical question – I really really want to know.

Did you read my email?

Margaret,

While we may not be as prompt as you would like, we do the best we can as a group of volunteers, each of us with full-time employment, Toastmasters club (and for some, area, division or district) responsibilities, as well as families.

Please be as patient as you can be. We are trying to help you as much as we can.

Margaret:

It seems as you are claiming that we have not answered your questions. However, I would disagree as it seems to me like you simply do not like the answers we are giving you and are therefore discounting them as "non-answers".

We are giving you the best answers we can based on our experience and know-how. However, SEO is not an exact science... it is basically an art form... since Google does not divulge their search ranking algorithm, we (and everyone else) are basically left to making educated guesses based on rules of thumb as to why the search results are the way they are.

Also, I am sorry if some of this seems overly complicated. It is web development stuff, and we can only simplify it so much. You have to take some responsiblity for learning some of the technical stuff. We can help point you in the right direction but you still are going to have to be willing to learn some new stuff and try our our suggestions without discounting them out of hand as "non-answers".
