G'day!

I have tinkered around, read the docs, deleted and re-added details and have had no luck rectifying the following issue:

When using the email lists through our club website, it has recently (approx less than 6 months) started delivering the email multiple times. The prime example is the VPE emailing members-2654492@toastmastersclubs.org and guests-2654492@toastmastersclubs.org the upcoming meeting agenda and it nearly always arrives in everyone's inbox three times. I can confirm both 'members' and 'guests' receive it three times.

As mentioned, I cannot work out why this happens. My experience with another club's website (5096) has never produced this same, peculiar outcome.

Many thanks in advance for anyone able to shed some light on possible solutions.

The website in question belongs to BeChange Toastmasters 2654492 in District 69:

I have seen that too. It only happens when you send to the multiple addresses at once. members; formermembers; and guests. If you send to only one, it should not happen. Try it...

Are your 5096 emails also being sent to multiple lists? The ones on your recent logs haven't been cc'd to guests & former members.

Do the emails that are going out in triplicate have attachments (always or sometimes)?

Our developer has a lot on his plate at the moment, but will get to this when he has some time. Please send to only one group at a time as Linda has suggested until the problem is rectified.

Thanks Linda! That sounds like it might be the issue - the signs of a strange little bug in the system, but one we can work with.

Pam (You've made me want to visit your club now - it's so close to home). The 5096 emails I believe are very rarely sent to multiple lists, but I am sure the logs you can see will be more accurate. The triplicate emails always have attachments.

I will pass on the message to only send to one list at a time. I know usually we send TO the members and CC in the guests/former members etc.

Thanks for the great help already :)

Thanks for that information Thomas. You're welcome to visit Redlands any time. I was actually at the A27 conference at Jimboomba on Saturday - small world :)
