Request of next Steps of Administrator change

10 years 3 weeks ago
#55736
Hi I'm from Club # 7966 Speak With Confidence Toastmasters Club ib Surrey, BC
We requested to have our adminstator change since the main adminstrator left.
We followed the steps to request change of adminstrator and our president has confirmed the email asking to confirm the change.

Now that he has confirmed the request, could you please indicate what the next steps are?

Thank you
Nina

To log into the site, you may need to click on "forgot your password" to do a reset. (I don't think I've ever done the change administrator process, so I'm not 100% sure.)

For guidelines on what to do once you are in, see support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc , or for a quick start, support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/quick-start-page The second link doesn't include anything about agendas, as not all clubs use them, but they are covered elsewhere in the docs.

Then, if you're still stuck with anything, you can make a post asking for help.

Once the request is approved, the person making the request should get an email with a link it in to get them in as the admin. Once in as the admin, they should load the admin console and update their info there on the administrator info tab.

As I had to do that before, Steve is exactly correct. As long as the TI site has your email address, you will be the one who gets the email and then you can go into the website and make the changes and change the admin to yourself.

Clarification... the system actually sends 2 emails... process is as follows:

1. Request made in Change form ... requester's email address saved with request in database.

2. Email sent containing approval link to person listed as club contact on TI find a club, old admin, and club president. (any of the 3 can click the approval link in the email to approve)

3. Once approval link has been clicked, the system sends *another* email back to the original requester (email address in db) with a link to enable the requester to get into the system as the admin.
